We had a great workshop for gratitude journalling on Saturday. Thanks to those of you who came – you know who you are! One of the participants brought me some beautiful hand made paper scraps. The pieces had a deep blue background and some traditional Japanese cherry blossom design with gold accents. I found it so inspiring that I based my page around it, using it as an opportunity to demo some gold sparkle gel medium, a stencil and 2 techniques with acrylics.
As always with a workshop, it’s so exciting to see how people express themselves in different ways. We all found things we were genuinely thankful for and had a happy time cutting, sticking, spreading, glittering and generally getting creative in the best Saturday-morning tradition!
I’ve just posted a new ‘Thank you’ sticker pack on the shop to coordinate with the gratitude journalling sets. You can get it here.
Now that the crowdfunder is over, the gratitude kits are reduced and would make great Christmas presents for someone who would enjoy more than just a ‘thing’. You are also supporting a local business and creating more gratitude! Get one here.
Meanwhile, over at www.biblejournalling.co.uk it’s about to be Advent and thanks to the crowdfunder I have some beautiful Advent journals available either as a creative journalling kit for individual use or as a pack for group use with or without craft materials. The journal contains a Bible verse and journalling prompt for each day plus space to add your own thoughts and mixed media. Find out more here. Join us for some Advent Bible Journalling on Saturday 30th November.
